CHRISTMAS GIFT DRIVE & LIVE NATIVITY

The recipients of the Westfield Knights of Columbus Christmas gift drive are the children served by the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal in Newark. Every year The Friars address host a Live Nativity where 200 kids receive toys, gifts, food and beverages during an outdoor reproduction of the first Christmas. The date is Sunday, December 15, 2pm

It is a joyous day, perhaps one that is too rare for too many, but one in which we are privileged to participate. Here is how you can bring the spirit of Christmas to the West Ward of Newark;

Girls ages 3-12: Barbie dolls or any other dolls, white or ethnic. Baby dolls, white or ethnic. Barbie heads for styling, white or ethnic (These were very popular last year). Craft sets, Board games, Play makeup kits, Crayola sets, Play animal sets.

Boys ages 3-12: Legos, Basketballs, Footballs, Soccer balls, Nerf balls, Board games, Matchbox or Hotwheel cars and trucks, Crayola sets.

Teenagers 13-18: PJ’s, Hoodies, Sweaters, Gift cards, Pocket books, Backpacks, Make-up.

Drop-off /donation options;

1)Drop-off your toys/gifts (wrapped/unwrapped) downstairs at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 2400 North Avenue (next to Charley Brown’s) Scotch Plains. Simply go to the downstairs bar area between the hours of 3-8pm. While there hoist a Christmas toast of gratitude. DEADLINE-Fri. 12/13 4pm
